Let me go with small steps. First of all: the shipping. I bought the shirt on December, 25th, and it arrived tody, December, 31st. So that were just six days for tailoring and shipping from India to Germany. That has to be the fastest buy i ever did!
Then, let's go to the shirt itself. The fabric: It is a not too heavy, not too light cotton fabric. Nice touch to it, the herringbone stripes add an interesting, soft pattern to the white fabric.
The workmanship: First of all, the often sought-after patternmatching. I've looked for it, and i checked the whole shirt: Everyone - and i really saw every lone stripe - matches it's counterpart. Definitely perfect match of patterns. The work itself is also perfect. The seams are all very good stitched, you could pull and push the shirt, and it still won't broke down. My tailor saw the shirt, and he respected the good workmanship, that stood behind it. I requested holes for a collar bar, they were hand-sewn, and really take the struggle of holding the bar right, without wrinkles and such.
Lastly, the fit: I used only some custom specifications - collar, sleeve length, armhole - and they fit true to size. The collar, an unfused one, fits perfectly. Not too tight, it almost feels like i'm not even wearing a collar. The spearpoint collar, 4.25 inch long, looks perfect period-accurate 1930s/40s, for the vintage fans out there. The sleeves are closed, even without a button at the wrist that closes them. The shirt stays tucked in, even when doing strange movements.
Long story short: If this would be school, i would give an note A without problems. It was my first shirt, and it surely won't be the last i order.
